Charlie the Chicken always wanted to fly. He didn’t understand why chickens had such beautiful wings but couldn’t use them. Puzzling also was that Charlie was blessed with such long, soft, slender legs. ‘What purpose do these serve?’ he often wondered. One day, peering through Clancy the cow girl window, he glimpsed the Olympic hammer throw final on TV & it came to him … if Charlie could find a little human with a firm enough grip to adopt him, he might finally know how it felt to soar through the skies!
